Romany, a colt out of Rodans Princess, a Thoroughbred mare approved for Selle Francais with one of the highest scores in North America, was born April 1. The owners Sunsprite Warmbloods comment that he is very uphill in build and movement, notably more athletic than other foals with a huge stride, and an inquisitive friendly nature.  This colt is will be not only Raffaello's first colt but will be the first offspring of our stallions registered with the Oldenburg Verband

Rachel, a filly out of Kashmere a Hanoverian mare by Kalypso, out of Diende by Diamont. She is owned by Mystic Owl Sporthorses. This established Hanoverian breeder is pleased to achieve her breeding goals and will breed back a second mare Sandrini .

Rieslynd a filly out of Phancy by Consul (sired by KWPN Sire of the Century Nimmerdor) out of Santana who carries the blood of Fruehling, Absatz and Furioso.  After a successful jumping career, Phancy is taking a break to produce a top level jumping prospects by both Raffaello and Cotopaxi for 2007.  Her first filly for Summer Hill Farm, Reislynd was Reserve Champion of the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Foal Futurity.

"He is the easiest horse I have ever trained. I taught him to lunge in less then 5 minutes. He proved he has a very sound mind while we tried some bomb proofing training.  We shook a garbage bag in the wind and asked him to step over a bright blue cooler and he was great."

 "While I was lunging him I would ask him to stop on the lunge line and NEVER once turned to look at me. He would just stop and wait for me to ask him to go again.  He is such a nice mover too, he just naturally goes in a correct frame. He can even canter on a lunge line which is something I didn't think young horses knew how to do. he just collects himself and does it. "

At one week:   "Sassy's Raff filly, Rags To Riches is a JUMPER!! Sassy went out on the front lawn today, first time out.  We heard Sassy neighing frantically. Her filly was in an adjoining pen, 4' mesh fence with a rail....no clue how she got in there....we wrestled her back to the gate & we put her in with Sassy. A few minute later we heard Sassy again, Jackie went running out to see the filly just landing after jumping the 4' high fencing...it was a game, ears forward, up & over & right back to the end of the adjoining pen"  ..."wow, is this a POWERFUL filly! So engaged in her hindquarters....incredible push, she is airborn all the time."
