Raffaello
is an imported 16.3hh 100 day tested an approved Hanoverian stallion. He
is by the proven producer Raphael, sire of numerous top level international
jumping and dressage horses including
Rio Grande,
Radiator,
Robinson,
Ravallo,
Raggazzo
and more.

Raffaello's dam, Fiola, is by the
recently deceased
Foxhunter
(Spruce Meadows). Foxhunter produced
Fortunas an Olympian in the showjumping in
Athens 2004. Foxhunter's sire
Watzmann produced an Olympic gold medallist,
Walzerkonig.
Foxhunter's dam carries the blood of both
Inschallah
and
Absatz.
Fiola's dam is by
Don
Juan
from the same D line that produced the
International show jumper
Dollar Girl
amongst many other top jumpers and successful stallions such as Drosselklang.

In
2000 Henk Bouwman commented on his personal picks for jumper talent for all of the Hanoverian, Holsteiner, Trakehner, Oldenberg
and Westfalian keurings for 1999, Raffaello is amoung those listed as one of his
personal favourites.
"And just the odd jumping star was fit
for the show of champions. To mention a few (my personal) favourites...No.69
(Raffaello ) by Raphael, dam's sire Foxhunter- Don Juan..."
Henk Bouwman, Z
Magazine
In
his 100 day test,
Raffaello scored 9's
for his temperament, willingness to work,
ability to work, character and jumping, placing him 4th out of 37 stallions in the
jumping component of his test. The judges at his 100 day test in Germany stated
"He is very careful and has tremendous scope over fences. He is also a nice type
and very good mover".
In 2005, his first season in competition
Raffaello competed successfully and won his first jumping Championship cooler,
as well he was in the ribbons at the Pacific Regional Dressage Championship
show.
He
has shown since successfully in the A rated hunters and is now campaigned in
dressage by an amateur rider.
Raffaello
further was selected by committee as one of the stallions for the
Hanoverian
Jumper Breeding Program in North America. He is fully approved for the
Hanoverian Verband, American Hanoverian Society, American Warmblood Registry,
ISR Oldenburg, Canadian Warmblood and Canadian Sporthorse and the Rheinland
Pfalz Saar.

His first foal crops have exceeded all
expectation and we invite you to peruse his
offspring page to see for yourself.
Typically offspring are stamped with Raffaello's tall correct leggy elegance,
beautiful head and neck blended into a stong topline, strong hindquarter with
quicker hind leg, more athleticism in gaits and freejump and presence!
Raffaello embodies a simple goodness and
kindness, a gentle curiosity and respect. He has our hearts.
If it was his beauty and athleticism that brought mareowners to breed to him, it
will be his offsprings kind natures that will endear his foals to them.
