Radiator is a Hanoverian stallion son of Raphael , as is our stallion Raffaello. Luckily for us he is in Europe!   Upon hearing of Raffaello's lineage,  Mrs Southern was quoted as saying  " You have a son of Raphael? That Radiator came here and just won everything"

Raffaello our 100 day tested and Verband approved Hanoverian stallion.  Selected sire for the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program

Our first foal crop of 2006 includes our own out of our Hanoverian mare Aliane

Raggazzo, Hanoverian stallion reknown in dressage, won his performance test with a score of 129.34, scoring 10's for temperment, willingness, consitution and readiness to perform. In Denmark he also recieved the highest evaluation of his temperment and the second highest evaluation ever given.

He shares the  common sire Raphael with Raffaello.

Raimond. (1960-1979) Stamm 185 is the sire of Ramiro Z  and a son of the legendary influence of  Anglo Arabian stallion Ramzes
Raimond was a beautiful, muscular 16H stallion. He produced uniform and typy offspring. He produced many good broodmares with ideal temperaments. He crossed best with refined mares. He produced 6 approved sons including Ramiro and 122 approved daughters. That influence continues in Raffaello, Ugandro and in our expectant offspring of Aliane in 2006Chamineux has Raimond as a damsire top and bottom as well.

Ramalgo Z (B.1984) approved stallion (1986 Hessen) bred by Leon Melchoir, is (Ramiro- Alme- Gotthard) scoring 9 for his jump with an index of 121.68 he is the full brother to Rascal Z grand dam of our broodmare Chaminox Z. An interesting note is that every single mare in the first 5 generations of this mares pedigree have produced an approved stallion, as well as many being full sisters to influential stallions.

Ramiro Z (1965 - 1995)   When Ramiro was presented for selection, he was described as the ideal type of the modern Holsteiner - strongly imprinted by his dam, tall and elegant, showing the top line of his grandfather, Cottage Son xx, with powerful frame, a glorious face and large, clear eyes. His excellently formed neck, beautifully set, could still be seen, even when he was an old horse, and are stamped on his progeny. Ramiro displayed a very good walk, a normal trot. And a great canter - it was impossible not to be enthusiastic.  Found in the pedigree of both Raffaello and Ugandro as the paternal grandsire. He is also the maternal dams damsire of our mare Aster and found in Chaminox Z.

RAMIRO

Ramzes  (1937 - 1963), Next to the Hanoverian stallions Agram and Ferdinand, the Anglo-Arabian grey Ramzes x belongs to the triumvirate of German procreators of sports horses following the Second World War. He was homozygotic i.e. his progeny were all greys. The biological phenomenon of homozygoticness arises in the crossing of two heterozygous greys to a probability factor of 25 percent. Apart from Ramzes x, other homozygotic greys also became well-known in different German warm blood breeds, including Capitano, Gardehusar, Godehard, Gold Dollar, Kontakt and More Magie xx. Ramzes x was born in Poland in 1937 and in 1948 became the property of Clemens Freiherr von Nagel. He initially placed him at the disposal of the later trainer of the federal German showjumper riders Hans-Heinrich “Micky“ Brinkmann as a showjumper, but parallel to this also utilised him for breeding at his studfarm Vornholz. Even today, Vornholz is still the most significant breeding centre of Germany even though it ceased to exist in 1978. Numerous Olympic horses were born there. Without Ramzes x, German warm blood breeding would not be what it is today. In 1951 and 1952 Ramzes x covered at the Holstein state stud of Neuendorf as a leased stallion, where he sired such excellent horses as Retina / Fritz Thiedemann, Romanus / Hans Günther Winkler and Ramona / Alwin Schockemöhle. These three horses were the foundation of Ramzes x ‘s fame in Holstein and were the impetus for a further two covering seasons in Neuendorf in 1959 and 1960. He again procreated high class showjumpers, as well as a number of approved sons and outstanding broodmares, of whom Vase, the full-sister of the aforementioned Romanus was probably the most significant. Her blood is pulsating in numerous Holstein horses today. The Ramzes x bloodline later splits up into two main streams: From Holstein, the Raimond Ramiro branch was widely distributed not only nation-wide, but world-wide. The other branch established itself enduringly using Westphalia as a base, through the Radetzky progeny, via Olympic silver and team gold medalist Remus 1.- Romulus 1 - Romadour II. The phenomenon that the Holstein Ramzes x progeny were overwhelmingly showjumpers, whereas the Westphalian offspring‘s main forte was foremost in advanced dressage (Ramus /Harry Boldt, Olympic gold medalist Mariano / Dr. Josef Neckermann, Tiga / Heinz Lamrners) has continued with a few exceptions from the F1 generation, up to the present day.

RAMZES

Rantzau xx was the French TB sire of the great Holsteiner progenator  Cor De La Bryere.  He is considered one of the best TB stallions entered into French performance breeding.  Found in the pedigree of  Tiara and Counterstrike through their paternal line and in Cantamos through Cotopaxi.

RANTZAU

Rappel  In 1960, the mare, Rappel was saved from the knackery by Rheder Thormählen, a breeder from a family which had lived on the Kollmaran marsh for 500 years, where they had been involved in the breeding, riding and selling of horses throughout that time. Rappel who was by Heinzelmann, had made herself unpopular by jumping out of paddocks, and was still jumping at the age of 23 when she won an elementary showjumping class! Herr Thormählen did not know it at the time but Rappel had an earlier foal, by the influential Arabian bred, Ramzes, who as Romanus had won the Grand Prix of Rome with Hans Günter Winkler.
Ten years later, Rappel presented Thormählen with another Ramzes foal, this time a filly, Vase - who went on to be champion mare of Holstein. Vase’s full-brother, Roman topped the German showjumping standings for two years running with Hans-Gunter Winkler. Vase’s daughter, Folia, by Maximus (himself an Advanced showjumper), foaled five stallions: Latus I and II (both by Landgraf), and then Capitol - who was by Capitano out of Retina (also by Ramzes) who had won the Hamburg Derby with Fritz Thiedemann in the saddle.

Raphael,  now deceased ,  is moreover, one of the most significant hereditary transmitters of recent times and was declared the most successful procreator of sports horses in Germany in 1999.,  He produced 11 FEI level dressage horses including Ravallo who is a role model for work ethic and personality and Raggazzo (Grand Prix dressage stallions in Europe) and Rio Grande, Raphanus and Radiator (Grand Prix jumping stallions) and was the sire of our own multi talented Hanoverian stallion, Raffaello. Raphael has even has offspring who is successfully competing at international level in carriage driving. The number of offspring he comes up with in the show ring is high and earned him great indices for producing show horses according to 2000 FN yearbook: 112 in dressage and 123 in jumping.
In the Hanoverian Verband stallion yearbook 2001 he is one of few stallions who have significantly above average scores for all criteria regarded (breeding type: 113, conformation of limbs 125, dressage 118 and jumping 124). In 1999 an article in 'Reiter und Pferde in Westfalen' honored him as the top sire in the German stallions league leaving behind him names such as Landadel, Pilot, Capitol and others).
People might also take into consideration he was still healthy until his demise in his mid twenties.

Raphanus a Hanoverian stallion by Raphael out of the Pik Koenig mare Poljana. A half blooded sibling to our stallion Raffaelo

Rascal Z , a full sister to Zangersheide approved stallion Ramalgo Z

Ravallo typifies the diversity of Raphael offspring as a reknown dressage performer and sire in Europe. He is related to our stallion Raffaello through their common sire,  the great Raphael.

Retina, Holsteiner dam of CapitanoInternational  successful Retina, who was ridden by Fritz Tiedemann, who's wins include the German Derby in Hamburg. Up until now only two horses have ever won both the two qualification rounds and the Derby: Firstly Retina at seven years old, ridden by Fritz Tiedemann in 1959 and her great grandson Capriol from Capitol - Capitano - out of Retina, ridden by Holger Wulschner in 2000. She is by the legendary Ramzes. Through Carthago Z's blood, Retina is a relative of Cotopaxi's and thus Cantamos.

Rio Grande competed at Olympic level showjumping and is a noted sire of Hunter ring performers. Raffaello  embarks to carry on this legacy of being a potent producer of performance offspring sharing with Rio Grande the common sire of  Raphael.

Robin Z I stallion (full brother is Robin Z II) out of Alpha Z, a full sister to Ascot Z in the maternal line of Chamineux

Robinson, by Raphael, a favorite in recent years dominating the Grand Prix jumping circuit with Richard Spooner.  He and Raffaello share the common sire of jumping and dressage talent, the now deceased, Raphael.

Roemer

Ronald (1970 - )was a very good son of Ramiro with expression, presence and a smooth topline. Nicely shaped shoulder and croup. Heavy bone, correct legs and feet. Overstride in walk, very good trot, and good canter. Good under saddle, with considerable jumping ability with very good form. Ronald produced big framed horses with scope and rather flashy markings. He improved on the legs and feet of mares. His foals were born with light coats which darkened later. Masculine offspring are coarser while mares were more refined.
Ronald produced 5 approved sons and 88 approved daughters

Ronja by Romalgo Z, a full brother to Racal Z, grand dam of Chamineux

Roman (1963-1986) Stamm 18B1 Roman  was a very important sire to the Holsteiner breed. He was a successful open jumper sired those such as the famous Rigoletto. He crossed best with big framed, refined mares.Roman, himself won many advanced show jumping competitions, largely made a name for himself as the dam-sire of many significant sires (e.g. Carolus I and II, Tin Rocco, Larome, Calvin, Cantus. Cordeui etc.), as well as many prominent show jumping horses. Since Calido I's sire Cantus is out of a mare by Roman and his grandam is by Roman too, there is a highly interesting inbreeding component in regard to this top sire.  He produced 6 approved sons and 122 approved daughters.

ROMAN

Romanus The Breeding Line 173 is one of the most successful blood lines of the Holsteiner yard. The original mare Rappel (from Heinzelmann) had an enormous jump, and could not be kept on any fields. Her son Romanus (from Ramzes X out of Vase) was very successful on the international circuit ridden by Hans Günther Winkler.
