Inspection and Registration

Registries the stallions Cotopaxi and Raffaello are approved for breeding.  Our breeders will receive a Certificate of Breeding for their expected foals, only one certificate may be issued in keeping with the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horse rules.  As you wish, this is your official documentation of the breeding and you may submit this document to the registry of your choice.  An new option for  breeders with unapproved mares is the new Canadian ID Program listed below .

Inspections
 

   

Camisado was designated a Merit colt at his 2007 AHHA inspection, congratulations to his breeder Ali Houston Ludlum who is looking forward to the jumpers with Camisado.

 

Congratulations to first time breeder Elizabeth McGregor on her first filly by Cotopaxi achieving premium status scoring 7, 8  out of the Celebes mare Cordova Nova.    Her dam achieved premium mare status and was awarded Reserve Site Champion.  Simply fabulous! Another big congratulations to Echo Glen Farms on their Raffaello colt Royal Glen achieving the scores 7.8 for conformation and type, 8 for movement and 7.9 overall.  This colt was a month old at his ISR Oldenburg inspection! Owners comment,  " The Oldenburg folks warned us that they had never heard of a youngster that was only a month old doing well, and even made a point of announcing that that 2 months was an appropriate age… then Roy showed up and changed everyone’s mind"                                

2007 Summer Hill Farms once again are in the money in the Canadian Warmblood Foal Futurity, this time with Cotopaxi filly Cordera out of their foundation dutchwarmblood mare, Phancy.

October 6th   Congratulations  to Hidden Ridge Sporthorses  whose Cotopaxi yearling filly   Vanity Mare   out of Thoroughbred dam Silvershulace, tied for top scoring youngster at the large site inspection in the US  by the  American Holsteiner Horse Association!    She received premium rating with an 8 for type and conformation, and an 8 for all gaits, for a total of 16 bonits from both American and German Verband judges.  Silvershulace was approved for the AHHA  main mare book in 2004 with scores of 7555786 for an overall 43 points. What a fantastic example of what North American breeders are now producing for the sport market!                                                                                                                                                                       

 Hidden Ridge Sporthorses have returned for three breedings to Cotopaxi and have very athletic, quality sport prospects available.

 

Congratulations to Ali Houston Ludlum who's mare Talandra (below) was AHHA inspection site Champion with scores of 8676778   Talandra is expecting a Cotopaxi foal in 2007 and we have every expectation it will be stunning!

        

 

Congratulations to Triple S Holsteiners on the scoring of Cotopaxi daughter Serenada  8776678 ,awarding her premium Main Mare Book status.  Further, Triple S Holsteiners presented the highest scoring mares in North America in the recent AHHA inspection tour so credit goes to Mr. Hans de Groot and family for maintaining a standard of excellance. Triple S Holsteiners returned to breed to Cotopaxi a subsequent year as well and have a colt rising two.
