Welcome to our new website designed by EQ Graphics! The current news for 2010 is being updated with pictures to follow. We have numerous updates sent in from owners and breeders on the progress of Cotopaxi offspring ( eg. Cottacachi, Centavo, Calvin, Bella Notte ) and Raffaello offspring ( eg. Without Question, Claire) you can see on their pages. It is an absolute joy for us to follow their development. Many thanks to all our breeding friends and acquaintances.
Congatulations to Pam White who ventured into the Level 1 dressage ring for the first time on four year old Calvin by Cotopaxi to win both her classes with 67 and 70%. Calvin took everything in stride as he was a champion Baby Hunter as a three year old with his previous trainer Ashliegh Charity. He exhibits a big stride with correct gaits and a bright mind that loves to be engaged in work.
Congratulations also to trainer Lindsey Beadle of Eclipse Equine on her win of the 3 foot jumpers at Thunderbird on Synergy Sporthorses homebred mare Veta whom is now has an excellant home with Leah Larsen. It was Vetas' first show and she boldly went double clear to win her class of over 35 horses. we expect great things of Veta , Lindsey and Leah in the future.
Most recently our elite Hanoverian stallion Raffaello was honoured to represent the foundation bloodstock of the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association at the Mane Event trade exposition. Firstly paired with his partner of two years Doris Doudet, an amateur who finds Raffaello a delightful distraction from her career as a professor and leading researcher in the field of medicine. They have an incredible rapport which is found winningly in the dressage ring and gamely out trail riding. Doris and Raffaello demonstrated Raffaello's dressage capabilities and then subsequent days two riders whom had only one opportunity to ride Raffaello stepped in, Diana Dusevic graciously demonstrated dressage and then swapped tack in front of the audience whereupon Lindsey Beadle very capably brought him into a relaxing hunter frame and huntered him over a few fences for the audience to see the versatility, rideability, character and the athleticism Canadian Warmblood breeders strive to bring to their breeding for the prospective market. Raffaello had not been shown over fences in over three years but readily was back to his stylish form.
Our Holstein stallion Cotopaxi met up this year with a new, enthusiastic and hard working young rider, Niko Goyette, whom with his partner Christie Dusevic manage Lower Saxony Farm where they train and show. Partnered for only a few outings after fitting Cotopaxi up, Niko placed fifth with him in their first class, the Pepiniere Grand Prix.
Both stallions have produced offspring that have met and exceeded the expectations of the mareowners from their first year breeding forward to this season and we are delighted to share in their accomplishments. The stallions have extensive galleries to showcase their offspring and provide a valuable reference to their production for breeders to peruse. We have been honoured to serve these breeders and look forward to assisting mareowners obtain many more bouncing foals in 2010. We would like to also point out that we have Sales pages for offspring as well as mares in foal to Cotopaxi and Raffaello, where we foster direct networking between breeder and the prospective buyer looking for the quality our breeding brings.
Notes that may be of interest from previous years may be found as well, please take a look at our 2007 and 2008 news archive.
Kind regards, Lisa Paulson, Synergy Sporthorses
